Field and Boundary

The ball's position splits the field unevenly: field is the wide side, and boundary is the short side.

Field - More Space

The side between the ball and the farther sideline. Routes and formations have more room to spread out there.

The side between the ball and the nearer sideline. Routes and receiver splits have less room there.

Tendency Reports

If you use Playside, Hudl or QwikCut to tag your opponent's offensive plays and fill in the Hash and Play Direction columns, these products can generate a tendency report telling you how often the team runs to the field (i.e. the wide side) or the boundary (the short side).
