Air Raid Y Stick puts the flat defender between Y's six-yard stick route and the back's shoot route. Z clears the corner with an outside release, giving the quarterback a quick inside-or-outside answer from the Ace set.

| Position | Responsibility |
|---|---|
| QB | pre-snap, read the defensive backs and pick a side. Less than seven yards off the man, throw deep. More than seven, throw short. |
| Y | five steps, then turn back inside toward the quarterback at about six yards. Run at the inside shoulder of the flat defender, who is the man being put in conflict. |
| Z | mandatory outside release. If he does not force the corner to turn or collision him, the corner crashes the flat and ruins the throw. |
| F | shoot route. Sprint for width to where Z aligned and stay within a yard of the line. |
| X | go. Run off the corner and take the top of the coverage with you. |
| H | three-step hitch. |
