Shallow Cross (the Drive concept) is a cornerstone of the Air Raid and modern spread passing games. One receiver runs a shallow drag route across the field at 3-4 yards depth, while an inside receiver runs a 10-12 yard dig route directly above him to high-low intermediate zone linebackers.
