Lincoln Riley GT Counter + Glance RPO

GT Counter + Glance RPO is Lincoln Riley's signature run-pass constraint. The offensive line executes full GT Counter blocking while the quarterback reads the backside inside linebacker, throwing the 5-step glance slant if the linebacker triggers downhill.

The call

PositionResponsibility
Left guardpull flat along the line of scrimmage and kick out the frontside defensive end.
Left tacklepull behind LG, dip inside his kick-out block, and wrap for the Mike linebacker.
Centerblock back to seal the backside defensive tackle.
Right guardblock down on the playside defensive tackle.
Right tackledown block and wash the 3-technique inside.
Rtake a counter jab step away, cross in front of Q, and follow the wrapping LT into the C-gap crease.
X5-step glance route (skinny slant) into the window vacated by the Will linebacker.
Ystalk block the overhang / nickel defender ($).
Zstalk block the playside corner.
Hpush 5 yards vertically to clear out the safety and pin the overhang, creating the window for X's slant; stalk block if the ball is handed off.
