Spread Option Power Read
Spread Option Power Read sends the back on a sweep while the quarterback reads the playside end for an inside keep. The pulling guard leads through the quarterback lane, while the quarterback's read replaces Power's kickout on the end.

The call

| Q | read the playside end. If he widens with R, keep inside behind the pulling guard. If he squeezes the quarterback lane, give the sweep. |
| R | cross Q's face and run the sweep path outside the read end if Q gives the ball. |
| Q keep | get downhill inside the read end and follow the pulling left guard. |
| Left tackle | hinge the backside end out of the play. |
| Left guard | pull through the inside lane for the playside linebacker. |
| Center | block back on the backside tackle. |
| Right guard | down block the nose tackle. |
| Right tackle | down block and double-team the nose tackle inside. |
| Y | arc past the read end and account for the next defender outside him. |
