The Tunnel Screen (also known as a jailbreak or slip screen) is a perimeter screen where a receiver stems upfield to back off coverage, then retraces back inside behind the line of scrimmage into a convoy of pulling offensive linemen. By inviting the pass rush upfield, the offense creates an escorted lane between the interior rush and the perimeter blocks for the ball carrier to accelerate through.
