Spread Option Zone Read + Bubble
Spread Option Zone Read + Bubble layers a perimeter throw onto Inside Zone Read from a 3x1 set. The quarterback reads the trips overhang first, then continues to the backside end for the give-or-keep decision when the bubble is covered.

The call

| Q | read the trips overhang first (Nickel / Ni). If he inserts into the run fit, pull and deliver the Bubble to Y. If he expands outside with the receivers, ride the mesh and read the backside end (E): pull when he crashes on R and give when he stays wide. |
| Y | bubble back and out behind H and Z. Stay behind the line of scrimmage so they can block before the catch. |
| H | release downfield to stalk block the strong safety (SS), sealing the alley for the Bubble while leaving the Nickel overhang unblocked for Q's conflict read. |
| Z | stalk the corner from inside leverage and keep him outside the Bubble lane. |
| X | stalk the isolated corner and keep him out of the run fit. |
| R | cross Q's face, stay connected through the mesh and run Inside Zone right if Q gives the ball. |
| Q keep | replace the backside end and get north once he closes on R. This path is live only after Q turns down the Bubble. |
| Left tackle | leave the backside end for Q, step with the Inside Zone track and climb to the Will linebacker (W). |
| Left guard | cover the backside tackle (T) on the Inside Zone track. |
| Center | work with the right guard to secure the playside tackle. |
| Right guard | work with the center to secure the playside tackle before one blocker climbs. |
| Right tackle | cover the playside end on the Inside Zone track. |
