Spread Option Zone Read + Bubble

Spread Option Zone Read + Bubble layers a perimeter throw onto Inside Zone Read from a 3x1 set. The quarterback reads the trips overhang first, then continues to the backside end for the give-or-keep decision when the bubble is covered.

Zone Read + Bubble: Zone Read + Bubble from shotgun 3x1. Q reads the trips overhang first: throw the Bubble if he inserts, otherwise continue to the backside end for the Inside Zone give-or-keep read. R1 and R2 mark the order.

The call

Qread the trips overhang first. If he inserts into the run fit, throw the Bubble to Y. If he stays outside with the receivers, ride the mesh and read the backside end: pull when he closes on R and give when he stays wide.
Ybubble back and out behind H and Z. Stay behind the line of scrimmage so they can block before the catch.
Hstalk the trips overhang from inside leverage. Do not block downfield unless Q throws the Bubble.
Zstalk the corner from inside leverage and keep him outside the Bubble lane.
Xstalk the isolated corner and keep him out of the run fit.
Rcross Q's face, stay connected through the mesh and run Inside Zone right if Q gives the ball.
Q keepreplace the backside end and get north once he closes on R. This path is live only after Q turns down the Bubble.
Left tackleleave the backside end for Q, step with the Inside Zone track and climb to the backside linebacker.
