Spread Option Speed Option attacks the perimeter immediately, with the quarterback pressing the unblocked end and the back maintaining pitch relationship outside. If the end widens with the back, the quarterback turns up; if the end commits to him, he pitches.

The call

PositionResponsibility
Qattack the pitch key's inside shoulder. If he commits to Q, pitch to R. If he widens to R, turn up and keep.
Q keepget vertical off the pitch key once he widens. Do not drift sideways and close R's pitch lane.
Rstay outside and slightly behind Q at pitch depth. Keep the relationship through the read rather than outrunning the pitch.
Left tacklecut off the backside tackle.
Left guardsecure the backside tackle with the left tackle.
Centerreach the playside tackle with the right guard.
Right guardsecure the playside tackle with the center.
Right tackleleave the end for Q and climb to the playside linebacker.
Yarc outside the pitch key and block the next defender in the alley.
